Somewhere down the line this is even going to affect you criminal class
Eventually the number of things that you can purchase will shrink as well

Then you do a swish swish auction
An roll up all the places that do the same thing down the street and walk away with million dollars and kick the can down the road
Pretty soon you only have one supplier left and we're back to feudalism so why are we even calling this on market or are you blathering on for an hour

I thought that when the s&p broke 4200
Obviously that thesis is bologna Mr Bond King the only thing that matters is the wealthy people want to stuff their pockets and they can lie openly in the news will back them

I agree 100% with Steve that they will do more QE rather than taper. I just can't believe I hear it coming out of his mouth 😂

However, I disagree with his disinflation argument. He says consumers will reject higher prices, but companies have already eaten as much cost increases as they can and they're starting to jack up prices anyways (Fed Ex being the latest). So to use the restaurant example, if the food costs more restaurants are going to have to raise their prices. Those that can't will simply go out of business. Those that remain will cater to a clientele that can afford to pay more. Those who used to be able to afford Applebee's will now go to McDonald's, but McDonald's prices will be what Applebee's prices used to be. Higher prices slower growing economy = stagflation. Got gold?

Steven is right about the SRF. Low, very low interest rates for ever , if not negative.

They can't taper. Why must we keep pretending their jawboning represents a predictive signal? The only reason is because it creates a little game for traders to play while they wait for the jawboning to be proven to be the lies everyone knows they are.

“Expansion of credit does lead to a boom

at first, it is true, but sooner or later

this boom is bound to crash and bring

about a new depression. Only apparent

and temporary relief can be won by tricks

of banking and currency. In the long run

they must lead the nation into profounder

catastrophe. For the damage such methods

inflict on national well-being is all the

heavier, the longer people have managed

to deceive themselves with the illusion of

prosperity which the continuous creation of

credit has conjured.”

They can't taper. The economy has been on life support since 2008. THE FED IS BUYING THE STOCK MARKET! THEY HAVE BEEN PROPPING UP THE BOND MARKET SINCE SEPTEMBER 17, 2019. HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW THESE THINGS?

I've already started doing the inflation shuffle; buying this instead of that, foregoing something in order to make sure I can pay for necessities. My decisions are already effected by prices, and looking at the prevailing economy things don't look optimistic.
